THE HOLY SPIRIT HOSPITAL

 

Holy spirit hospital at the end of the king route completed 1290 is considered as one of the most important monumental buildings of the Middle Ages and is one of the oldest social mechanisms of Europe. It was donated by rich Luebecker citizen and served first the nursing for the sick, later than home for the elderly.

Worth seeing above all the 1977 to 84 are restored church hall with gotischen wandmalereien, altars and holy figures from 13. to 15. Century as well as a precious representation of the Elizabeth legend at the Lettner, painted on 23 oakwood boards.

Today the holy spirit hospital a name has itself made by its craftsman Weihnachtsmarkt, which tightens year by year many thousand humans.
