HANSEATIC CITY LUEBECK

THE CITY HALL

We are on the market before the city hall, at which the Luebecker had long built several centuries since 1230. The Luebecker city hall became the model for the buildings of city halls of many hansischer Baltic Sea cities. From the oldest components still the south suedgiebel is received. The wallwall wall was transformed 1435 by architect-general Nikolaus Peck and provided with the two large windloechern. The in front of it-placed Renaissance summerhouse originates from the years 1570/71. Gothic and Renaissance grew together in the building of city halls to an impressive symbiosis, which pleases us today, in earlier centuries however than " most strangely " were regarded.
