- First slawische castle system of old Luebeck at the
confluence of Trave and Schwartau.

- The name " Liubice " is called in the chronicle of the
historical recorder Adam of Bremen.

- Destruction of old Luebeck by heidnische Slawen.

- Count Adolf II of castlecastle castle creates the

- Joggle of the senate, abolishment of the citizenry,
government by authorized persons of the NSDAP. Common " realm
governor " for Luebeck and Mecklenburg with seat in Schwerin.
- 1937
- Abolishment of the realm liberty of Luebeck,
Eingleiderung into the Prussian province Schleswig-Holstein.
- 1942
- On 28 March large sections of the old part of town are
destroyed by bombs.
- 1945
- Luebeck is filled combatless by British troops.
- 1945-1948

refugees.

- Beginning of the reconstruction of the old part of town and
the destroyed churches.

- Introduction of the new urban constitution after the

- All towers of the destroyed churches are again structured.
- 1971-1973
- Pedestrian precinct in the widths road created.
- 1975
- Luebeck is chosen in the monument protection year as well as
Regensburg and Bamberg to the pilot project of a careful town
redevelopment. Afterwards intensive repair works, Luebeck becomes the
reorganization emphasis of the Federal Republic.
- 1987
- The reconstruction of the last Luebecker old part of town
church - St. Petri - is concluded. The UNESCO explains as the world
cultural heritage - the first cultural monument of this type in the
Federal Republic to Luebeck.

- 850 years Hanseatic city Luebeck
